Antonio Guerra's Company
| Antonio Guerra’s Company is based in Velez-Malaga and is composed of 15 artists,including musicians and dancers,who have been performing since 1995. Among the showsperformed are the following: “Nuestro Flamenco”, “AxarquiaSentires”, “El desafío” or “Don Quixote”. They have performed both in Spain and abroad. This company is currently touring with the Flamenco show “Sentir Flamenco”. Antonio Guerra’s Company has its roots in the Academy of Elsa and Antonio Guerra, where some of the best singers, guitarists and dancers decided to form a flamenco group who were then joined by a number of dancers from the academy itself. In 1995 they performed their first show, “NUESTRO FLAMENCO”at the Carmen Theatre in Velez-Malaga. This was followed by AXARQUIA SENTIRES (1997) as well as other regional shows. Since then, the original choreography and music are their hallmark. They have even performed beyond the borders of Andalusia (Castile and Leon, the Basque Country, etc) and then, in 2002, they performed abroad. That same year the shows were taken to Germany: “El Desafío” (2002), “MisaFlamenca” (2003), “Flamenco Puro” (2004) as well as its most important work: “Don Quixote” (2005) a mix of flamenco, contemporary art and theatre that make this a unique and exceptional show about The Knight of the Sad Face.
